What is the treatment:

Hair restoration treatments aim to address hair loss and promote hair regrowth. Techniques may include the injection of growth factors, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), fillers, or microneedling. These treatments are crucial for individuals experiencing hair loss or thinning as they stimulate hair follicles, improve blood circulation, promote hair regrowth, increase hair thickness and enhance overall hair health, contributing to improved confidence and self-esteem.

How long is the treatment:

Varies, often 30 to 60 minutes depending on the treatment.


Pre-care Instructions:

Inform your practitioner about any skin sensitivities. 

7 days before - Avoid dyeing, relaxing or using excessive heat on the hair.

3 to 7 days before - Avoid general blood thinners e.g. Aspirin, Voltaren, Ibuprofen, Omega supplements. Avoid excessive sun exposure.

2 to 3 days before - Avoid alcohol 

Day of treatment - Wash your hair thoroughly using your regular shampoo. Do not apply sprays, gels, or any other styling products to your hair. 


How will the procedure be performed:

Hair restoration procedures may involve various techniques, including:

Assessment: The practitioner assesses the patient's hair loss and determines the most suitable treatment.

Topical Anesthetic (Optional): A numbing cream may be applied to the treatment area.

Cleansing: The skin is cleansed to remove all impurities, hair products and/or numbing cream. 

Treatment Application: This could include injections of growth factors, PRP, fillers , or microneedling hair serums into the area.

Post-Treatment Care: Post treatment antiseptic spray or an antibiotic ointment is applied over treated areas to prevent infection through the inoculation sites.


Post-care Instructions:

Use in conjunction with oral supplements and topical hair stimulating products as prescribed by a practitioner. 

For 3 days after - Avoid sun exposure, vigorous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and swimming. Gentle care of the treated area, can resume normal hair routine.

For 7 days after - Continue to avoid blood-thinners. Avoid Minoxidil, hair coloring, relaxing and straightening.


Onset of the Effect:

Gradual improvement over weeks to months.


Duration of the Results:

Long-lasting, may require maintenance.


How often should you do the treatment:

Every 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the treatment.

Mild, with numbing cream available.
